Dr. Liang Peiwen (Ping Ping), China Relations Advisor, revealed, “This collaboration stems from recognizing Thailand’s potential to serve as a hub for artificial intelligence technology that seamlessly integrates Asian cultures. The connection between educational institutions of both countries will dramatically accelerate the development of personnel in this field.”

Suchart Marlalam, Vice President for AI Technology at the Thai Journalists Institute and founder of AISX.ASIA, who initiated the concept of integrating AI technology with Asian culture, commented, “This project is just the beginning of the foundation we’ve laid. True success comes from the collaboration of all parties who share the same vision. I’m merely a small part in sparking this idea.”

Vichai Annawakulthorn, Vice President for International Coordination, added, “This collaboration will not only create benefits in terms of technological development but will also expand educational and career opportunities for media and technology personnel at an international level.”

The official launch of the Asia AI Innovation Center is scheduled for July 2025. The center will offer specialized AI training programs and serve as a dedicated learning hub, focusing on producing skilled craftspeople from 38 Rajabhat Universities to work both domestically and internationally, with China being the initial target destination.

This collaboration represents a significant step for Thailand in becoming a leader in artificial intelligence technology in the Asian region and strengthens academic ties between Thailand and China.
